San Diego, known as “America’s Finest City” with its sun-soaked coastlines and laid-back vibes, has long been a favorite destination for travelers. But when it comes to combining work with leisure, The Westgate Hotel stands out as the finest spot. Whether you're a digital nomad in need of a beautiful place to work, a bleisure traveler mixing business with relaxation, or a San Diego local seeking a touch of luxury, The Westgate Hotel delivers an exceptional experience.

A Perfect Hub for Digital Nomads
The Westgate Hotel is more than just a hotel; it’s a sophisticated sanctuary where work and creativity can thrive. Digital nomads will appreciate the combination of timeless elegance and modern amenities. The rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and comfortable desks, making it easy to settle in and get productive. Plus, the beautiful French-inspired décor adds a touch of luxury to the workday, ensuring that working remotely doesn’t feel like a chore.
For those who need a change of scenery, The Westgate Hotel’s rooftop pool area is an inspiring space to work from. Imagine answering emails while overlooking the San Diego skyline or brainstorming by the pool with a refreshing drink. When it's time for a break, the nearby Gaslamp Quarter offers countless cafes and parks to wander through and reset your mind.
The Ultimate Bleisure Experience
Business travelers who want to maximize their downtime will find The Westgate Hotel perfect for bleisure (business + leisure). Situated in the heart of downtown San Diego, the hotel’s prime location ensures you're close to the city’s key business districts, convention centers, and event spaces. After meetings or conferences, it’s easy to unwind in the hotel’s lavish rooms, indulge in a spa treatment, or enjoy a leisurely dinner at one of its renowned dining options. Need to host work colleagues for a post meeting drink? Check out the second floor bar that offers a great happy hour and vibe. Say “hi” to Brian!
And if you have a free afternoon, you're just a short stroll away from the scenic waterfront or historic landmarks like Balboa Park. The Westgate Hotel ensures that business trips don’t feel purely transactional—they become an experience.

A Local’s Luxury Escape
While San Diego locals may not need a place to stay overnight, The Westgate Hotel offers the perfect escape for a day of relaxation. Whether you're looking for a weekend staycation or simply want to enjoy the hotel's renowned afternoon tea, this hotel provides a touch of European charm right in the heart of the city.
Locals can treat themselves to a spa day or lounge by the rooftop pool with stunning views of downtown San Diego. It’s a peaceful retreat from the hustle of everyday life, and the perfect place to recharge without having to leave the city.
Timeless Elegance Meets Modern Convenience
What sets The Westgate Hotel apart is its unique blend of old-world elegance and modern convenience. Inspired by the Palace of Versailles, the hotel’s ornate details, crystal chandeliers, and luxurious furnishings create an atmosphere of refined opulence. But don’t let the grandeur fool you—the hotel has all the contemporary features you need for a comfortable stay, including cutting-edge tech and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
The Westgate Hotel is a rare gem in San Diego that caters to a wide range of guests. Digital nomads will find it a productive yet serene space to work from. Bleisure travelers can seamlessly transition between business and relaxation, while San Diego locals can enjoy a day of luxury and indulgence. Whether you’re visiting for work, play, or a little of both, The Westgate Hotel is the ideal place to experience the elegance and charm of San Diego.

SARAH’S MUST DO:
Afternoon Tea - Priced at a reasonable $55 for adults, $35 for children ages 2-12 and free for infants , it can't be beat! You’ll enjoy the lavish setting and beautiful sounds from the harpist. The scones are also delish!
Rooftop Gym - You’ll have access to the sprawling indoor AquaVie gym, but there’s something really cool about the rooftop gym. Give it a try!
Dinner - I’m still thinking about the Coq au Vin … order it!
