If you’re a digital nomad or a bleisure traveler, The Kimpton Armory Hotel in Bozeman, Montana, is the perfect blend of work and play. With its unique combination of historic charm and modern amenities, it’s a hotspot for those who want to stay productive while enjoying all that the scenic Montana landscape has to offer.

Location, Location, Location

Located in the heart of downtown Bozeman, The Kimpton Armory Hotel is within walking distance of fantastic local restaurants, coffee shops, and outdoor adventure spots. The hotel’s prime location means you can wrap up a work call in your room and, minutes later, be exploring the lively local scene or enjoying a hike in the nearby mountains. It's the ideal balance of urban convenience and natural beauty.

Work-Friendly Spaces Galore

The Kimpton Armory offers an abundance of work-friendly spaces perfect for the digital nomad. From the comfortable and stylish lobby with cozy nooks to the Sky Shed bar, there's no shortage of spots to hunker down with your laptop. The highlight of The Kimpton Armory Hotel is undeniably its rooftop space. With panoramic views of the Bridger Mountains, it’s a go-to spot for winding down after a productive workday. Whether you’re networking with colleagues over craft cocktails or soaking in the ambiance during a sunset, the rooftop is a perfect blend of business and leisure—a key element for any bleisure trip.

Room to Recharge

The guest rooms are designed with the modern traveler in mind. Each room is spacious, with ample desk space, plenty of outlets, and strong Wi-Fi. You can also enjoy complimentary morning coffee and tea service. The decor is a sleek blend of contemporary style and historic art deco touches, a nod to the building’s original purpose as one of six armories built in Montana during the lead-up to World War II and as a response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing. After a day of calls and emails, relax with luxurious amenities like their yoga mats and plush FRETTE robes. There’s also a 24-hour fitness center to squeeze in a quick workout between meetings, as well as pet-friendly accommodations if your furry companion is joining you on your travels.

Fielding’s Restaurant & Tune Up Bar

Foodies are in for a treat with the hotel’s standout dining options. Fielding’s, the main restaurant, serves up a farm-to-table experience with dishes that highlight local Montana flavors. It’s an ideal spot for breakfast meetings or partner dinners after a long day of work. Named after Fred Fielding Willson, the architect of the Armory, the restaurant captures Bozeman’s history and spirit. With vibrant energy and artwork by local talents LeeAnn Ramey and Hannah Uhde, Fielding’s provides a space that celebrates the essence of Bozeman for both locals and visitors alike. Make sure to order the mashed potatoes and start your meal with the relish tray!

For a more laid-back atmosphere, the Tune Up Bar and Lounge is a must-visit. They say “it’s cooler underground” and I can say from firsthand experience that it is! I caught two shows - one that was a funk band and another a Tom Petty cover band. What a blast! Somehow this hotel has managed to become the “go-to” place for the locals .. which is always a great sign.

Final Verdict

The Kimpton Armory is a standout destination for digital nomads and bleisure travelers alike. The GM, Charles Daenen, has given great thought to making sure the property meets the needs of its guests. With its thoughtful design, seamless blend of work and relaxation spaces, and a prime location that puts you close to Bozeman’s best, it's a place where productivity meets pleasure effortlessly. If you’re looking for a hotel that caters to both your professional needs and your sense of adventure, The Kimpton Armory Hotel is a top choice.
