Thank you  Munich Schwabing for creating the perfect spot for work and rest!

A Perfect Spot to Balance Work and Play

The neighborhood of Schwabing is Munich’s bohemian heart, with leafy streets full of art galleries, boutiques, and buzzing cafés. You will not have to go more than a few steps to find countless restaurants, cafes, and public transportation.

Spaces That Work for You

The lightning-fast Wi-Fi, spacious desks and well-lit workspaces in each room cater to your professional needs.  And if you want a little more interaction, why not work from the expansive lobby for comfy seating, natural light, and plenty of coffee to keep the ideas flowing?

Unwind

After work hours, it’s time to dive into the "Wahrheit" experience! This place knows how to turn a business trip into a mini adventure. Fancy a sauna? Done. Feel like soaking under the stars in a rooftop hot tub? You got it! You just want to relax with a beer in hand at the lobby bar, Schwabinger Wahrheit has you covered.

Pedal Your Way Through Munich

Zoom through Munich’s scenic streets like a local. Rent a bike for your ticket to adventure. Munich’s bike-friendly paths make it easy to pedal your way to famous spots like the nearby English Garden.

Sip, Snack, and Socialize

If networking is on your agenda, the hotel’s cozy lobby bar is the perfect place to strike up conversations while sipping on local Bavarian beers or international wines. The lobby’s relaxed vibe is ideal for winding down after a conference or sparking new connections. And if you’re peckish, the breakfast buffet is a must, offering everything from fresh bread to organic treats to fuel you for the day ahead.

Explore Schwabing and Beyond

Outside the hotel’s doors, Schwabing is an eclectic playground waiting for you.  Here are the top 5 museums and historical attractions in Munich that will immerse you in the city’s rich history and culture:

     1. Deutsches Museum

One of the largest science and technology museums in the world

     2. Nymphenburg Palace (Schloss Nymphenburg)

This magnificent baroque palace was once the summer residence of Bavarian royalty.

     3. Residenz Munich

Vast museum complex showcasing royal treasures, lavish interiors, and stunning art.

     4. Alte Pinakothek

Masterpieces from artists like Rubens, Rembrandt, and Titian fill the halls, offering a journey through art history from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

It was the first Nazi concentration camp, now serving as a powerful reminder of history with exhibitions, memorials, and guided tours.  Admission is free.

Terri’s Must Dos:

  1. Take advantage of the sauna and the whirlpool to relax, it’s open late. Take advantage of lovely outdoor lounge areas.

  2. Visit the English Garden for a great run/walk/bike ride along the many trails, or to check out the multiple beer gardens!  All venues have food and non alcoholic options available

  3. Act like a local and skip taxis. Use the U stop, only 2 blocks away, to discover more of Munich! My favorite stop was Marianplatz for shopping, outdoor cafes and the Glokenspiel (leave work a little early to catch the 5pm dancing characters)
